Some say this video is staged. If so, then this little guy is the best rodent actor since Rizzo the Rat.
I mean this rat CLIMBED ON A MAN! Can you imagine? Between this and the guy with 2500 rats on Hoarders, I’ve seen more footage of rats than I’ve ever wanted to see in my lifetime.
I’ve also seen way more rats in real life than I care to remember in all the usual rat-infested NYC places like the street, the train platform, and of course FALLING FROM THE CEILING OF A PIZZA PLACE! That’s right, while enjoying a slice and a lovely conversation with my pal Anya Garrett at an east village eatery, A RAT FELL OUT OF THE CEILING one table over from ours. A heavy, hairy, fat, RAT! I screamed, cried, and jumped on my table in horror. The counter employees were unfazed giving me a “yea, it happens” sorta look. Um no, no it does not happen. The other thing that does not
happen, me throwing away a pizza slice, which I did once the RAT FELL OUT OF THE CEILING!Wait, maybe that rat in the pizza place was Rizzo.
Some claim that rats are “part of New York City’s character”, well then, NYC has a major character flaw. A gross, infectious, unsanitary, terrifying character flaw.
